Every Malbrook commission is individually designed and carefully made, with each detail shaped around the character of your property and the way you want the finished space to feel.
From first consultation to final installation, our approach is tailored, handcrafted and design-led. Whether the project is a conservatory, orangery, kitchen, staircase, window or door, we do not rely on standard sizes or modular systems.
During the initial visit, our designer will listen carefully to your requirements and offer suggestions informed by your ideas and our years of design experience.
We prepare detailed drawings, a quotation and a pencil or watercolour sketch of the proposed design. We offer both contemporary and traditional approaches. If you already have sketches or architect’s drawings, we can provide a quotation based on those and contribute further suggestions where required.
Once the design is agreed and the contract signed, one of our qualified surveyors will prepare final drawings and confirm the finer details with you.
Interior finishes are an important part of the final result. Prior to installation, we can advise on underfloor heating, floor and wall finishes, lighting, blinds and furniture, working closely with trusted builders to help achieve a cohesive and carefully considered scheme.
All contracts are handmade in our purpose-built factory by skilled craftsmen using proven joinery methods, supported by modern techniques where they offer genuine benefit.
Site installation is carried out by our highly experienced in-house fitting teams, who specialise in fine joinery and understand the standards required to deliver a precise and enduring finish.
Timber is selected by Malbrook from high quality hardwoods chosen for their suitability, durability and appearance. Options include stained finishes, painted finishes and green oak for a more distinctive character.
We typically use argon-filled double-glazed units for conservatories, orangeries and roof lanterns. For restoration projects, such as Victorian greenhouses, single glazing may be specified where required to respect the historic nature of the building.
Colour choices are highly flexible. Malbrook can provide paint or stain samples, match unique colours and, where desired, apply different finishes to the interior and exterior timber.
We use cast or extruded aluminium, or Marley Classic guttering, depending on the requirements of the project. Aluminium guttering can be powder coated to complement your conservatory or orangery.
For conservation areas or listed heritage buildings, we can provide more traditional materials such as cast iron. Exterior aluminium roof caps can also be powder coated to your chosen finish.
Ironmongery is selected to complement the conservatory, orangery or glazed extension, as well as the adjacent spaces within the home. Standard options include brass, polished chrome and satin chrome.
Stainless steel and other bespoke fittings may also be specified, provided they satisfy relevant British Standards and insurance requirements.
We continue to refine our work through carefully considered product development, incorporating options such as aluminium-clad timber frames, green oak and other advanced material solutions where they offer practical or aesthetic advantages.
We would be pleased to discuss your requirements. All Malbrook projects are managed through our Reading office, with a single point of contact for customers across the South of England.
